Hello
Very intense emotions are a normal part of the grieving process. They can last a long time, but most people do learn to cope with them. Sometimes though, they may need professional bereavement support.
Signs that a bereaved person might need extra help can include: struggling to focus or concentrate, lack of energy, staying in their room, feelings of depression or anxiety, panic attacks, losing interest in things they used to love, and finding unhealthy ways to cope, such as heavy drinking.
If things don’t improve within a few weeks, encourage the person to see their GP. They will be able to help them find the right support, which could include counselling, group therapy or medication.
“Grief Fighters Anonymous” plans to have representation in every province of Canada, then every state of the USA, and Australia. Europe and the rest of the world. It also plans to offer all services in all major languages.

How does it work?
- To get started you’ll first need to complete a short questionnaire (add Hyperlink) to check if our service is right for you.
- If we can offer you support, you’ll be asked to give us a few more details about yourself and create your online account.
- Once you’ve signed up you’ll be placed on our waiting list for an initial assessment.
- When an appointment is available we’ll invite you to book a time and date for your video assessment.
- After the assessment, if you and your assessor agree that these services can help, you’ll be allocated to a professional counsellor when one becomes available.
- You’ll then be able to use our online platform to book and manage your 6 video sessions.
