Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
God’s help
The Holy Spirit has the power to “comfort all that mourn” (Isaiah 61:2). People who experience this divine comfort describe it as warmth, fullness, calmness, and peace. It is the fulfillment of Jesus’s promise, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you” (John 14:27).
How does God use grief?
God uses grief to help you grow.
Second, he brings good out of bad (Romans 8:28), and third, he prepares you for eternity (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
